Boise, Idaho - Today,
Intermountain Gas Company (IGC) announced the launch
of its customer service website at www.intgas.com.
According to Paul Powell, Senior Vice President -
Administration, "Intermountain Gas has an
excellent reputation of providing quality customer
service through both our local offices and central
call center. The objective of this new website
is to open a third channel for our customers to
conduct business with us. As more and more of
our customers choose to conduct their business via
the Internet, Intermountain Gas Company wants to be
there for them."
Visitors to the site can
take advantage of a number of functions such as
start or stop gas service, view consumption and
billing history, update account information, view
and pay their bills, obtain conservation and usage
tips, and access information about various IGC
customer programs and services. All of this is
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in a secure,
user-friendly environment. A customer can accomplish
any transaction on the website that they could by
visiting one of the local IGC offices, without
having to deal with weather, traffic or office
hours.
IGC customers who log
into the site can sign up for electronic bill
presentment and payment (EBPP), either through IGC
Direct, an exclusive free electronic payment
service, or through any of the numerous banks, bill
payment sites or portals powered by Checkfree®.
Customers enrolled in an EBPP program will receive
an email notification when their bill is ready to
be viewed and paid.
"We're excited
to offer the convenience of online customer service
and electronic bill presentment and payment to our
customers", said Powell. "We hope to
expand the site in the future with additional
customer service functions and other e-business
capabilities."
